My name is Holden Riefenstahl and I am the founder of Holden’s Hope. I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of four. Since my diagnosis, my family and I have been involved in JDRF, walking, biking, and advocating for funding for diabetes research. Holden’s Hope for Haiti is a charity drive to help children in Haiti by providing essential, non-prescription diabetic supplies for children in Haiti. To achieve this, we hope you’ll donate any unwanted or unneeded diabetic supplies that you may have.

How my Project came to be
When it was time to plan my Eagle Scout project, I knew I wanted to help children with diabetes. Through research, I was able to find a nonprofit group called CRUDEM, an organization that supports the Hopital Sacre Couer in Milot, Haiti. Included with CRUDEM is the Pediatric Diabetes Program, a program that supports kids with diabetes in Haiti. I knew my project would be a collection to help this organization, and the children of Haiti.
If you want to help our cause, please choose one of the following three options. Additionally, if you wish to just contribute money to go towards supplies, you can venmo @HoldensHope money that we will then use to acquire those supplies. If you’d like to follow the progress of my project, you can also like my facebook page: Holden’s Hope for Haiti, also linked below.

Needed supplies include Glucometers (Freestyle, OneTouch, Contour, and AccuCheck brands preferred), Test strips (not expired), glucagon (not expired), Glucose tablets, Syringes (31 g, 5/16 in, in unopened bags – not loose), Insulated bags/lunch boxes for supplies, and Diabetes logbooks.
